Charis is a freelance creative, performer and writer. She trained as an actor at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and has most recently worked with Strictly Arts at the Belgrade theatre in their alternative Christmas show Club 2B. She has also performed with the Birmingham Rep and the Lyric Theatre Belfast, amongst others.
As a writer and maker, she is currently part of the BAIT 2020 writer’s cohort with Beatfreeks and has just finished working with Rural Media on developing her audio piece ‘Four’ that will appear on a BBC platform later this year. Charis has also written for Near Neighbours for International Women’s Day last year and has just received the Artist Support Fund from In Good Company for her one woman show ‘Little Fish’ about Irish identity and homesickness.
